“This market is a place we make an effort to come to every Saturday morning. Usually my wife will do the grocery shopping while I hang out with my son up at the playground. I can’t really stand the crowds of the market, so it’s better that she braves the madness while I stay nearby with my son. Local, fresh and seasonal produce are important to us, as is eating healthy, so it’s worth it to come here to this market each week. We don’t get to cook and eat at home as often as we would like, so the weekends have been carved out as time to buy something fresh and to cook at home together. Another reason my wife does the shopping is because I would probably take forever at the market. I would want to buy everything. For me it’s more playful and creative, and for my wife she tends to think, ‘What can we buy that will feed us.'”
